Grateful

Yesterday was a very different and difficult day for Jeff at work. His company had sent out an email saying they were laying off ten percent of their employees and five people from his office ended up losing their jobs yesterday. Luckily, Jeff was not one of those employees. My heart goes out to all those people who did lose their jobs and I can’t imagine what that was like for them because many of them have families to support. Then this morning at work, a lady came in and I don’t mean this in a bad way- it was simply an observation but she had very nice clothes and the biggest, most humongous ring I have ever seen! Who thought I would see the biggest ring ever here in Provo haha but anyways I know they are very well to do because her husband is very successful. It just made me think how some people have all the money in the world and then there are those who struggle just to put food on the table everyday. I wish there was more I could do to help others but I am just so thankful that Jeff does have a job and for how hard he works everyday. I feel so blessed and thank God everyday for both of our jobs! We pray for those who have lost their jobs too and I hope that another door will open up for them. When I say I don’t want to go to work, Jeff tells me, “at least you have a job to go to.” It is very true so I am grateful I do have a job to go to everyday!

What a blessing that Jeff was able to keep his job! It really is sad and terrible how the economy is roughing people up.

Hey!!! I am slacker blogger, but I loved reading all of your blog. Garrin says the same thing to me when I don't want to go to work (ha and I say it to him) That is lucky that Jeff didn't get laid off.

Scary! We're lucky Tim's just in school right now, but I do get worried about when he graduates.
