Thunder vs. New Mexico

Jeff has played New Mexico now two times so I thought I would give a little update on the past two games.

Monday, March 30th they played them at home to have their first victory! The final score was 55-34 and they had another great game. Their defense looked a lot better and Jeff had four catches for 20 yards. Not as much action as last week but I think it was a bit of blessing because he had hurt his ribs and they were pretty sore. The less impact the better!

The second game was this past Monday and this time it was away at New Mexico. They left very early Sunday morning to only have an extended bus ride that put them in a little later than expected. Their bus broke down 90 miles outside of New Mexico and so they had to wait a couple of hours for another bus to come. This is the second time this has happened to Jeff so he thinks he is cursed! I would not want to be on a bus full of frustrated football players haha. Hopefully this is the one and only bus malfunction for the season though! I was unable to go to the game but Jeff said they did not look good at all. They were however, able to pull off a win in the last six seconds of the game with Jeff scoring the winning touchdown! The final score was 58-54 so it definitely was a close call. They turned on the heat to score 28 points in the final quarter. Jeff had a total of four catches for 68 yards and three touchdowns. They were his first touchdowns for the season so I am sad that I missed them! He will just have to do it again :). His ribs are still sore and thank goodness for adrenaline because he does not feel a thing during his games! Too bad adrenaline is only short lived though. I wish it cured them permanently!

His next game is this Saturday in Ogden and I am predicting another win! The Ogden team has a few players from his team last year so it should make for an interesting game!

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
